Climate change may be defined as any long term significant change in the average weather that a given region experience. This change in the average weather manifests itself in different forms like change in average temperature, humidity, wind speed and atmospheric pressure.
Recently, in the environmental policy context, the term climate change became refer to the modern climate changes features induced mainly by human activities. Such these activities include using fossil fuel, aerosols, and destruction of tropic forests.
From another point of view, the consequences of the climate change have different forms such sea level rise, drought, and desertification. Modern climate change influences in the whole world.

The Kingdom of Bahrain, along with over 150 countries, endorsed the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change at the Earth Summit, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 1992. Taking into consideration the importance of the convention, Bahrain ratified the framework convention in December 1992.
In 2005, the first national communication on climate change report was produced by the Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife and other national scientific organizations.
Since, May 2007, the arrangement of the second national communication on climate change was begun. This portal is designed to provide help for both public and climate change team members about these arrangement.
